2024 Ram 1500 recalls

Rear seat belt buckles may not be secure

Injury risk

The seat belt buckle anchors for the middle and left rear seats may not have been installed correctly, so they do not meet federal seat belt anchorage requirements. In a crash, a loose anchor could fail to hold rear passengers in place and raise the risk of injury.

Fix: The dealer will inspect the second-row seat belt buckle anchors and attach them to the body structure as needed, free of charge.

Camera

Contamination in the central vision processing module or improper programming may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility." A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will update the central vision processing module software or replace the module, as necessary, free of charge.

Recall 26V327000 · May 2026

Driver's airbag may not deploy properly

Injury risk

Fix: The dealer will secure the airbag connectors at no cost to you.

Recall 25V298000 · May 2025

Steering control module, Turn signal

The turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective devices, and Associated Equipment." Turn signals that do not function properly may fail to indicate the driver's intention to change vehicle direction, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering column control module as necessary, free of charge.

Recall 24V729000 · Oct 2024

Software fault can disable stability control

Crash risk

A software bug in the anti-lock brake control module can turn off electronic stability control, so the car no longer meets federal safety standards. Driving without stability control makes a crash more likely.

Fix: The dealer will update the ABS control module software at no charge.

Recall 24V653000 · Sep 2024

Column, Driver clockspring / spiral cassette

, and Chrysler Voyager vehicles. The steering column control module may not be welded properly, which can prevent the driver's air bag from deploying in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." An air bag that does not deploy in a crash can increase the risk of injury.

Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering column control module, as necessary free of charge. FCA US, LLC's numbers for this recall are 14B, 33B, 34B, 35B, 36B.
