2008 Nissan Rogue recalls
Water and salt can short wiring, causing fire
Fire riskSnow, water, and road salt can seep through the driver-side carpet and reach the wiring harness connector near the kick panel. This can cause an electrical short, which can start a vehicle fire.
Fix: A dealer will inspect the kick panel wiring harness connector and, if needed, install a new connector and waterproof seal at no charge.
Recall 15V032000 · Jan 2015Navigational system(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM)
Fire riskThe batteries contained in the affected GPS units can overheat. Overheated batteries could result in a fire.

Recall 10V401000 · Sep 2010Loose steering gear screw can cause steering loss
Crash riskA screw holding the cover on the steering gear can loosen over time and eventually fall out. If that happens and the driver makes large steering movements, the steering shaft can come out, causing a complete loss of steering control and a higher risk of crash.
Fix: The dealer will check and retighten the steering gear cover screw and install a cover plate to keep it from coming out, at no cost to you.
Recall 09V411000 · Oct 2009Pressure monitoring and regulating systems
c., west virginia and wisconsin. The material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may corrode and potentially crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. If this occurs, the nut may come out of the sensor-transmitter and the TPMS lamp will illuminate. If the TPMS lamp is disregarded and the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the tire will quickly lose air pressure at a consistent rate resulting in a flat tire increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: The dealer will replace the TPMS nut with a new, more robust nut. This service will be performed free of charge.
Recall 09V393000 · Oct 2009Passenger air bag may be suppressed
Crash riskA part in the passenger seat sensor system may have been made out of specification, which can interrupt the signal to the air bag control unit. If that happens, the passenger air bag could be turned off and fail to protect the passenger in a crash.
Fix: The dealer will test the seat sensor signal with a special tool and replace the seat cushion if needed, at no cost to you.
