2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee recalls

Tire pressure warning may fail to alert

Crash risk

A software error can stop the tire pressure monitor from detecting low tire pressure or from lighting its warning light. Without that warning, a driver may not know a tire is underinflated, which raises the risk of a crash.

Fix: The dealer will update the radio frequency hub software at no cost to you.

Recall 26V559000 · Sep 2026

Windshield wiper / washer

Due to a software issue in the body control module (BCM), the windshield wipers may fail. Windshield wiper failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will update the body control module (BCM) software, free of charge.

Camera

The rearview camera image may fail to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility." A rearview camera image that fails to display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Radio software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge.

Injury risk

A software error in the occupant restraint controller can delay side air bag deployment in a crash, so the vehicles do not meet federal side impact safety standard FMVSS 214. A late deployment raises the risk of injury to occupants.

Fix: Your dealer will update the occupant restraint controller module software free of charge.

Recall 26V328000 · May 2026

Traction battery

Park outside

The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving. A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.

Fix: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge.

Recall 25V741000 · Oct 2025

Propulsion system

Can stall

A software error within the hybrid control processor may result in a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
