2018 Toyota Corolla recalls

Air bags may fail to deploy in crash

Injury risk

After certain crashes, the air bag control unit can malfunction and may stop the air bags or seat belt pretensioners from deploying. In a crash, this could leave you with greater risk of injury.

Fix: The dealer will inspect the air bag control unit and install a noise filter where needed, free of charge.

Recall 20V024000 · Jan 2020

Fuel pump may fail and stall engine

Can stall

The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank can fail, which can cause the engine to stall while you are driving. A sudden stall raises the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel pump free of charge, and Toyota will notify affected owners.

Recall 20V012000 · Jan 2020

Incorrect tire load label may cause overloading

Crash risk

The vehicle's load capacity label may list the wrong figure, so the car could be loaded beyond what it safely carries. Overloading raises the risk of a crash, and the vehicle also does not meet federal tire and rim selection requirements.

Fix: The dealer will mail you a corrected label to place over the inaccurate one, free of charge.
