The brake light software can make the brake lights flash or fail to light up fully, so they do not meet federal lighting safety rules. Other drivers may be confused about when you are braking, which raises the risk of a crash.

Fix: The dealer will update the rear brake light software free of charge, and Hyundai will also send the update over the air.
